Annika Sophie Ritlewski will make her debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival under the baton of Christian Thielemann in 2013. In February 2012, she made her debut as Micaela in Bizet's Carmen at Theater Heidelberg.
In 2009, Annika Sophie Ritlewski made her debut starring as Pamina in Mozarts’ Die Zauberflöte at the opera company in Heidelberg and Vitturia in Prosile’s Spartakus at the Early Music Festival »Winter in Schwetzingen«, where, in 2011, she sang Emilia in the German premiere of Scarlatti's Marco Attilio Regolo. Earlier that year she was acclaimed for her Poppea in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea in Berlin. The soprano has sung in new productions as well as world premières at Berlin’s Hebbeltheater Berlin, Staatstheater Kassel, Anhaltische Theater Dessau and Heidelberger Schloßfestspiele.
In 2010, Annika Sophie Ritlewski made her debut under the baton of Arnold Östman with the WDR Rundfunkorchester in Cologne, singing arias and duets by Gluck, Mozart, Rossini and Vivaldi. Later in the year, she sang Schubert’s Salve Regina and Magnificat as well as Bruckner’s Mass in d minor and returned in 2011 with arias by Bach, Handel and Mozart.
A dedicated lieder singer Annika Sophie Ritlewski regularly sings recitals. With harp player Anna Viechtl she founded the duo Annklang. In 2010, the soprano presented a „Spring Bouquet“ with Lieder by Schubert – including his famous Shepherd on the Rock – , Strauss, Wolf and a world première by Richard Beaudoin.
