In 2022, Freya Müller made her debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin – in a new production of Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, and will return for the revival in November 2023. In 2023, her debut at the Hanover State Opera followed in the new production of Dvořák’s Rusalka she sang Third Wood Sprite, and subsequently in Adams’ Nixon in China, in which she performed the Second Secretary of Mao. During the 2023/24 season, she will sing the Second Knight and Third Flower Maiden (2nd group) in Wagner’s Parsifal and the Second Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Hanover State Opera.
In 2021, Freya Müller sang Nireno in Handel’s Giulio Cesare at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media; the year before she performed Second Gentlemen in Martinů’s Julietta. She worked with directors including Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson, Tatjana Gürbaca, Daniel Kramer and Jossie Wieler.
The concert soloist sang Bach cantatas and his Christmas oratorio, St. John Passion, St. Matthew Passion Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, Handel’s The Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Vivald’is Gloria.
Freya Müller was accompanied by orchestras including Concerto Ispirato, Hannoversche Hofkapelle, Le Chardon, Niedersächsisches Staatsorchester Hannover and the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin – under the baton of conductors such as Daniel Carter, John Fiore, Donald Runnicles, Markus Stenz, and Stephen Zilias.
