From 2019 up to the summer of 2021, Vero Miller is a member the ensemble of the Staatstheater Kassel, where her repertoire includes, amongst many other parts, Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and the title role in Rossini’s La cenerentola. In 2018, she made her debut as Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte in Detmold and as Annio in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito in Mainz, followed by Kuchtíka in Dvořák’s Rusalka in her debuts at Cologne Opera and Leipzig Opera in 2019.
The mezzo-soprano’s opera repertoire also includes Bradamante in Handel’s Alcina, Ms. Hinrichs in Jost’s Die Arabische Nacht, Penelope in Ulisse by Monteverdi and the Stewardess in Dove’s Flight. Vero Miller worked with directors such as Markus Dietz, Wolfgang Hofmann, Balázs Kovalik and Nadja Loschky.
As a concert soloist, Vero Miller has sung amongst others Lidarti’s Oratorio Esther and the alto solo in Martin’s Terra pax. Her great enthusiasm for the song repertoire is reflected in numerous recitals with pianist Amadeus Wiesensee – they also performed at the “European Weeks” Festival in Passau.
Vero Miller worked with conductors including Francesco Angelico, Attilio Cremonesi, Ian Fountain, Christoph Gedschold, Michael Hofstetter, Samuel Hogarth, Axel Kober, Patrick Lange, Ulf Schirmer and was accompanied in performance by early music ensembles ‘Accademia di Monaco’ and ‘La festa musicale’ as well as by Bochumer Symphoniker, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Münchner Symphonikern, Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie, WDR Funkhausorchester.
