During the 2021/22 season, Vero Miller made her debuts at Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich and Wuppertaler Bühnen, followed by performances of Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice with International Gluck Festival in 2022. From 2019 to 2021, the mezzo-soprano was a member of Staatstheater Kassel, where her repertoire included Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel and the title role in Rossini’s La cenerentola. Vero Miller will join the ensemble of Mainfranken Theater Würzburg from the 2022/23 season and will perform in a new production at Theater Pforzheim and Wagner’s Götterdämmerung at Staatstheater Kassel.
In 2018, Vero Miller made her debut as Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte in Detmold and as Annio in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito in Mainz, followed by Kuchtíka in Dvořák’s Rusalka for her debuts at Cologne Opera and Leipzig Opera in 2019. The mezzo-soprano’s opera repertoire also includes Bradamante in Handel’s Alcina, Ms Hinrichs in Jost’s Die Arabische Nacht, Penelope in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria and the Stewardess in Dove’s Flight. Vero Miller has worked with directors including Markus Dietz, Eva-Maria Höckmayr, Wolfgang Hofmann, Balázs Kovalik, Nadja Loschky, Isabel Ostermann, Corinna Tetzel, and Martina Veh.
As a concert soloist, she has sung many works by Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rossini, Scarlatti, Szymanowski and Wagner as well as Lidarti’s oratorio Esther and Martin’s Terra pax. Vero Miller’s great enthusiasm for song repertoire is reflected in numerous recitals with pianist Amadeus Wiesensee, with whom she also performed at the European Weeks Festival in Passau.
Vero Miller has worked with conductors such as Francesco Angelico, Attilio Cremonesi, Ian Fountain, Christoph Gedschold, Michael Hofstetter, Samuel Hogarth, Patrick Lange, György Mészáros, Alicja Mounk, as well as Ulf Schirmer and performed with early music ensembles ‘Accademia di Monaco’ and ‘La festa musicale’ as well as Accademia di Monaco, Bochumer Symphoniker, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Münchner Symphoniker, Orchester des Staatstheaters am Gärtnerplatz, Orchester des Staatstheaters Braunschweig, WDR Funkhausorchester.
