Martyna Cymerman is a member of Staatstheater Oldenburg since the 2016/2017 season. In 2019, the soprano will sing her first Sister Rose in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, Servillia in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito and Argie in Rameau’s Les Paladins. In 2015, she made her debuts at Teatr Wielki im. Stanisława Moniuszki in Poznań singing her first Nedda in Leoncavalli’s I pagliacci and at Staatstheater Oldenburg singing her first Contessa Almaviva in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.
Martyna Cymerman made her opera debut in 2012, singing Carolina in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio secreto at Opera Nova Bydgoszcz. Until now, her repertoire includes Basia in Moniuszko’s Nowy Don Kichot czyli sto szaleństw, Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème. In 2016, she has sung Tirésias in Poulenc’s Les mamelles de Tirésias ans Euridice in Gluck’s Orphée et Euridice, followed by the title role in the German premiere of Lidarti’s Esther, Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen, Poppea in Handel’s Agrippina, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto during the 2017/2018 season.
Martyna Cymerman’s concert repertoire includes Bach Cantatas and Magnificat as well as Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri and Orff’s Carmina Burana. In 2016, the soprano will make her debut at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival with Mozart’s Coronation Mass. Martyna Cymerman is also a dedicated lied recitalist with Dvořák’s Cigánské melodie, Lutosławski’s Chantefleurs et chantefables and Szymanowski’s Kurpie songs. At the 2016 Mozartfest Würzburg, she has sung Mozart Lieder, accompanied by Kit Armstrong.
Martyna Cymerman performed with orchestras including Filharmonia Pomorska im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego, Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Cracow, Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii w Szczecinie, and worked with conductors including Damian Borowicz, José Luis Castillo, Gabriel Chmura, Vito Cristófaro, Jörg Halubek, Adam Korzeniowski, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Zygmunt Rychert, Maciej Żółtowski, Bartosz Żurakowski.
