During the summer of 2018, the tenor Xiang Xu returned to Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad, where he performed in several productions: Edoardo Milfort in La cambiale di matrimonio, Aufide in Moïse et Pharaon, Eacide in Zelmira.
The tenor performed in opera at China National Opera House, Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, Rossini in Wildbad – Belcanto Opera Festival and at Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro.
Xiang Xu’s Repertoire includes Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Arbace in Mozart’s Idomeneo, Juniper in Reutter’s Die Brücke von San Luis Rey, Brighella in Strauss‘ Ariadne auf Naxos, Alfred in Strauß‘ Die Fledermaus, as well as the Rossini parts Oraspe in Aureliano in Palmira, Atlei in Eduardo e Cristina, Il Conte di Libenskopf in Il viaggio a Reims, Edoardo Milfort in La cambiale di matrimonio, Aufide in Moise et Pharaon, Eacide in Zelmira.
As a concert soloist, Xiang Xu has sung Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. Xiang Xu performed under the baton of conductors including Jacopo Brusa, Fabrizio Maria Carminati, Antonio Fogliani, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Manuel López-Gómez, José Miguel Pérez-Sierra – and was accommpanied by Filarmonica Rossini, Pesaro.
