Dionysios Avgerinos will sing his first Dottore Malatesta in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale in June/July 2022, before he will present himself as Conte Almaviva in a new production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn in Vienna in the autumn of 2022.
Earlier this season, the Russian-Greek baritone made his debut in the title role in of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, where he presented himself as Papageno in a new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in May 2021.
Dionysios Avgerinos started his vocal studies in his homeland Greece with Oksana Tsavkopoulou and moved to Vienna in 2019 to continue his studies with Rainer Trost at Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien.
The baritone has performed in numerous concerts in his homeland, as well as in Austria and Russia. In 2021, Dionysios Avgerinos was soloist in concerts with arias and duets by Donizetti and Mozart at Vienna’s Old Town Hall. He has sung under the baton of conductors including Stefan Gottfried.
