Dionysios Avgerinos has sung the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni accompanied by Filharmonia Sudecka in February 2023 and made his Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra debut as Guccio in concert performances of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi in March 2022. The young baritone is joining Berlin’s International Opera Studio Staatsoper Unter den Linden from the 2023/2024 season, where his repertoire will include operas by Mozart, Puccini, Rossini, and Strauss.
In Vienna, Dionysios Avgerionos has sung Dottore Malatesta in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale in 2022, followed by Silvio in Leoncavallo’s I pagliacci in 2023. In 2022, he made his London debut, singing in Dauner’s premiere of Toadette, The Frog Opera.
During the 2021/2022 season, the Russian-Greek baritone made his debut in the title role in of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, where he presented himself as Papageno in a new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in 2021.
Dionysios Avgerinos has performed in numerous concerts in his homeland, as well as in Austria and Russia. In 2021, the baritone was soloist in concerts with arias and duets by Donizetti and Mozart at Vienna’s Old Town Hall. He has sung under the baton of conductors including Bertrand de Billy, Stefan Gottfried and Domingo Hindoyan – and was accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin.
