Vincent Kusters feels just as much at home on the opera stage as he does on the concert stage – and has a great affinity for classical art songs. The song singer has received many awards.
The Dutch baritone was engaged in his homeland at the Nederlandse Reisopera and appeared at numerous festivals, such as the Amare Februaryi, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, International Festival Vocallis, International Song Festival Zeist, Liedkunst im Schloss vor Husum and the Oxford International Song Festival in Great Britain.
During the 2023/24 season, baritone Vincent Kusters was guesting, together with his song accompanist Charlie Bo Meijering with very different song programs in Maastricht, Rotterdam and Wrocław and will also present Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin and Winterreise with him. With pianist Wouter Harbers he organized a Schubertiade in The Netherlands in February 2024.
His concert repertoire includes Bach’s High Mass in B flat, St. John and St. Matthew Passion as well as his Christmas Oratorio, Fauré’s Requiem, Handel’s The Messiah, Mascagni’s Messa di Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. He was accompanied by orchestras such as the Ad Mosam, Concert Brabant and philharmonie zuidnederland – and he sang under the direction of conductors such as Huub Ehlen, Hans Leenders, Philipp Pointner, Kassen Raykov, Ed Spanjaard and Bernhard Touwen.
